I’ve seen a couple of places around town (specifically, several Maverik gas stations and El Pollo Loco) that have signs posted saying “exact change or card only”. At first, I thought why? Then I read something about a coin shortage. Now my thought shifts to what the fuck? There are literally billions of coins in circulation. How is there a coin shortage?! I looked online, and several sources say that the Federal Reserve banks are facing a shortage, since the government stopped money production for the pandemic.
Okay, like I said, how is it possible to run out of coins, if there are literally billions in circulation? I personally don’t think the country will run out of coins. I think it’s a way to get people to stop using cash—people are all grossed out about touching anything anymore due to the coronavirus crap—and slowly try to wean everyone off of their greenbacks in favor of a cashless society. Forcing everyone to use debit cards, credit cards and things like Google/Apple Pay. By the way, unlike cash, every electronic transaction can be tracked and monitored.
Also, people are worried about being microchipped as the “mark of the beast” mentioned in the book of Revelations. I’m not saying this is at all true, but what if it’s not a microchip? What if the “mark of the beast” is a face mask? I mean, it’s getting to the point where you can’t go anywhere without one, thereby making it so you can’t conduct commerce (buy/sell) without a face covering. It may or may not be plausible, but it is worth considering…
